While the negative effects of environmental exposures on foetuses and young children are increasingly well understood, relatively little is being done in health care settings in Canada to educate prospective parents about reducing them. The PEHE Forum brought together prenatal health practitioners, researchers, educators, policy makers and environmental health experts from across Canada and the U.S. to share their knowledge and experience about prenatal environmental health issues and educational opportunities. The Forum was a unique occasion to build partnerships and develop informed strategies for improving prenatal environmental health education in Canada.
